The Dualog Crew Connection App facilitates seamless connectivity to the Dualog® Connection Suite™ Ship software on board vessels equipped with this service. It underpins essential functions such as user authentication and internet usage regulation.

Dualog® Connection Suite serves as a comprehensive maritime digital platform that guarantees reliable and secure access to internet, email, and cloud services onboard. This platform is versatile, functioning independently of specific airtime providers and communication equipment. The Connection Suite Ship software acts as an intermediary between user applications and the vessel’s infrastructure, offering services that include Crew Email and Crew Surf.

Crew Email is designed specifically for maritime needs, granting private email accounts to individual crew members regardless of the onboard communication setup. Crew information is automatically updated and disseminated from the Crew Management System to all ships. To optimize data use, emails are transmitted to the ship only for crew members registered aboard, while all emails remain accessible via the Connection Suite Cloud.

Crew Surf enhances internet accessibility for crew members, providing tools to monitor their data consumption and manage purchases of additional internet data autonomously, subject to the configuration set by vessel managers. Management maintains oversight of individual users, their data limits, and the types of internet services available.

The management of crew accounts can be automated through integration with the crewing system, significantly reducing administrative workload. Charges for additional data purchased can also be deducted from salaries with ease.

Key features of the Dualog® Connection Suite™ Crew Services include:

• Equitable distribution of data capacity onboard, with management assigning each crew member a monthly, weekly, or daily data quota (measured in megabytes). There may also be time restrictions per day, alongside options for purchasing extra data. The app enables crew members to track their data usage comprehensively.
• Quota assignment and email access necessitate that each crew member log in using credentials (email and password) provided by management. The app simplifies login and logout processes for mobile devices using Dualog® Connection Suite™ Ship.
• The Crew Email feature can be accessed directly within the app while onboard.
